Limitless

On March 16, 2011, in Movies, by

We went out to the cinema for the first time in a long time last night, we had tickets for a free preview screening of Limitless and thought it looked quite good so went for it. Usually we like comedies and animated movies so it’s not the sort of thing we’d pay to go and see, but when it’s free why not?

It was actually pretty good, I am not about to rush out and see it again and demand all my friends go or anything but it was an enjoyable few hours, quite thought provoking and unique.

There were a few massive plot holes that bothered me and I didn’t like the ending – which was basically ‘take this drug and you can become president’ but all in all it was good :)

Well hello there…

On March 11, 2011, in Internet, Personal, by

…I get to see my husband tonight for the first time in about 12 days :)

To say I am excited is an understatement, I have missed him so much – however in a strange way it was sort of nice. When we first got together we were in a long distance relationship, for four years. So it sort of reminded me of our earlier years together and I found us doing things we had not done for many years, like chatting on the phone for longer than 30 seconds and we even had a few webcam sessions via MSN.

I wouldn’t want us to be apart for so long on a regular basis, but it was actually quite good fun at times :)

Has anyone been following the story that has been all over the Canadian media the last few days about the 100 dogs that were killed? Apparently an outdoor adventure company that offers dog sledding to it’s customers decided that after a down turn in business it wasn’t worth the cost it took to take care of the sled dogs any more so they executed them to save costs. It’s so sad and really just makes you wonder what goes through some people’s heads.

The owner of the company had remained quiet about the whole situation but has now given a bunch of interviews to the media, telling his side of the story. I am looking forward to reading the articles but don’t imagine it will change my mind about him :(

Catching up on music videos

On March 6, 2011, in Internet, Music, by

When I move to my new Internet Service Provider, hopefully I will be able to watch Music Videos again! Honestly I have missed being able to do a lot of things over the last month or so that I have been having issues, but being able to stream videos on sites like Youtube and Spotify is probably the thing I have missed most – it was taking around 3 – 4 minutes to download 1 minute worth of video, how ridiculous is that?

I’ve missed out on a lot of new music videos so I can’t wait to get caught up.

I love to shop

On March 4, 2011, in Shopping, by

Yay, I just arranged to go shopping with a work friend. I absolutely love to shop as you know but since I moved out here I don’t get to go too often, mainly because I always used to shop with my mom and I don’t know many people here. I hate shopping on my own as well, you need a girl friend there with you to make it fun!

I am going to pick up some bits for hubbys birthday, maybe treat myself to some new underwear and I would also like some new jeans.

I am going to avoid shoes though, I definitely don’t need new shoes but I know I will buy some because I just can’t resist hehe

What a weekend :)

On March 3, 2011, in Travel, by

I am going to spend the next few days looking for information on Amsterdam apartment rental as we’re heading over there with the girls from work soon, I can’t wait. We went two years ago as well when it was someones 50th birthday and we had an absolute blast – Amsterdam has a certain reputation but it was not like that at all. It’s an absolutely gorgeous city with rich culture at every turn and some of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen – Italy is the only place I have seen any better architecture – we stayed for the weekend and I came away with loads of things I had wanted to do but didn’t have the chance to and I always said I would make sure to go back one day and finish the job :)

Super excited.

A good result

On March 2, 2011, in Internet, Tech, by

I am so happy today I could explode, after several weeks of my cable company refusing to budge they have now agreed to let me out of my contract with them – it’s been a nightmare time for using the Internet as my connection has been so poor it’s just been frustrating to be online rather than enjoyable.

I actually gave up hope and thought I would be stuck with them until July, so I have no idea who I am going to move to – but I am going to spend the rest of the day doing my research and finding out. The sooner I am out of there the better.

New Wii games

On March 1, 2011, in gaming, Tech, by

I have a whole bunch of new Wii games that I am excited to get my teeth sunk into.

The first one I have already been playing a lot is Brain Training, I loved it on the DS and I love it on the Wii as well — though I obviously need practice, even when I think I have done really well I only manage a C+!

I also have Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Zack and Wiki and Boom Blox — it’s going to be a fun few weeks on the Wii alright :)

I am so happy, the Husband has decided he’s going to start coming jogging with me — and I think he actually means it this time because earlier he was on a site looking at their Nike SB shoes range.

t have any decent footwear as his excuse not to come with me. Well actually that’s one of many excuses he has!

I don’t know if he actually ordered any or not, I don’t think so — but it is very promising that he was even looking.

Yay for me having a jogging buddy, and not just any jogging buddy — my gorgeous husband :)

Entrecard

On February 23, 2011, in Blogging, Internet, Webmaster, by

I just joined Entrecard because my friend told me it’s a great way to get traffic coming through here — hopefully people will start to read and comment on my ever so funny posts now, a girl can hope.

Though apparently it takes a bit of effort, you have to ‘drop’ cards on other people and advertise your site on relevant widgets — it’s all a bit foreign to me at the moment but I am sure I will get the hang of it :)
